How to insert a signature into a PDF
Built-in SigCleaner editor or third-party PDF editors
You can insert a signature directly in the service — upload a PDF or DOCX, place the processed signature on any page, and download the finished file. Or download a transparent PNG and insert it into any PDF editor.

Process the signature
Upload a photo or scan on the home page and remove the background and extra text. After processing, you can proceed to upload the document.
Upload the document
Click "Insert into DOCX or PDF document" and select a file — PDF or DOCX. You can also upload a document on the Files page using the "Upload document" button.
Place the signature on the page
In the editor, click "Insert signature", and select the processed file from the list. Drag the signature to the desired location on the page, and stretch it to the required size. You can add any number of signatures and stamps to any pages of the document.
Download the signed PDF
Click "Download PDF" in the toolbar — the finished signed document will be downloaded to your computer.
To work with external editors — prepare a PNG
- Open the home page.
- Upload a photo or scan with a signature.
- Crop the area and enable signature extraction if there is a stamp over the signature.
- Download the PNG with a transparent background.
Adobe Acrobat
Open the PDF
File → Open — select the desired document.
Add the image
Tools → Edit PDF → Add Image → select the PNG signature.
Place and save
Drag the signature into place, adjust the size, and save the PDF.
Via Word with export to PDF
Open or insert content
If it is more convenient to edit in Word — open the document or copy the text from the PDF (if this is possible for your file).
Insert the PNG
Insert → Pictures → select the signature. Layout — "In Front of Text".
Export to PDF
File → Save As → PDF (or "Export" → PDF).
LibreOffice Draw / Writer
Open the PDF in Draw
LibreOffice Draw is often more convenient for placing images over a PDF page.
Insert the PNG
Insert → Image → select the signature file.
Export back to PDF
File → Export As → Export as PDF.
Online PDF editors
Many online services allow you to upload a PDF and add a signature image. The main thing is to use exactly a PNG with transparency from SigCleaner, not a JPG.
