How to extract a handwritten signature

Signature facsimile in PNG with a transparent background — in a minute

SigCleaner cuts out only the handwritten signature: it removes the background, the stamp (even if it overlaps), and extra form text. The finished file is easy to insert into contracts, acts, and any other documents.

When this mode is needed

Use the "Signature" extraction if the image contains a signature and a stamp overlapping each other, and you need only the handwritten signature.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Upload an image

Upload a photo, scan, or PDF with a signature. Additionally, on a phone, you can take a picture directly with the camera; on a computer, you can import it from your phone's camera.

2

Crop the signature area

Select the area with the handwritten signature. If there is a stamp or other elements in the image, you can leave them in the frame — the extraction mode will remove them.

3

Enable signature extraction

Check "Extract individual elements" and select "Signature".

The service will keep the handwritten signature and remove the rest.

4

Optional: Aggressive mode

If the signature overlaps form text or there are many lines nearby, enable "Aggressive mode". This removes printed letters, numbers, and straight lines more strongly.

5

Download the transparent file

After processing, compare the result and download the PNG to insert into your document.
