Terms of Use

This User Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") determines the terms of use of the "SigCleaner" online service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") — a tool for the automatic removal of backgrounds from photographs and scans of seals, stamps, and handwritten signatures.

The Service is available on the website sigclean.io.

Any use of the Service's functionality — including viewing pages, registering, or uploading images — is recognized as a full and unconditional acceptance of the terms of this Agreement. In case of disagreement with the terms of the Agreement, the User must refrain from using the Service.

1. Subject of the Agreement

1.1. The Administration provides the User with access to image processing and previewing the result. Downloading the result is carried out for prepaid processing credits.

1.2. The Service is provided on an "as is" basis, without any warranties regarding the quality of the result, uninterrupted operation, or compliance with the specific requirements of the User.

1.3. The use of the Service is permitted for individuals who have reached the age of 13. Individuals under the specified age may use the Service only under the direct supervision of their legal representatives.

2. Intellectual Property

2.1. The exclusive rights to the source code, design, databases, and other elements of the Service belong to the Administration.

2.2. The User is granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service solely for the purposes provided for in this Agreement.

2.3. The User is prohibited from decompiling, disassembling, studying the source code of the Service, creating competing products based on it, as well as reproducing or distributing elements of the Service without the written permission of the Administration.

3. User Content and Acceptable Use

3.1. The User has the right to upload images to the Service (hereinafter referred to as "User Content"). By uploading an image of a seal impression, stamp, or facsimile signature to the Service, the User declares, warrants, and confirms the following:

• Regarding a seal or stamp: The User is a duly authorized representative of the organization or individual who owns the given seal (stamp), or acts on the basis of duly executed authority granted by such owner.
• Regarding a facsimile signature: The User is personally the bearer of the reproduced signature, or has the explicit written consent of that person to reproduce their signature using the Service.
• In both cases: the uploading, processing, and subsequent use of the User Content through the Service does not violate the rights and legitimate interests of third parties and does not contradict the requirements of applicable law.

3.2. It is prohibited to use the Service for the unauthorized reproduction of impressions of seals, stamps, or signatures belonging to other persons without their consent, as well as for the purposes of forging documents, fraud, or other unlawful acts. The User acknowledges that such actions may constitute criminal offenses under the laws of the respective state, and assumes full legal responsibility for their commission and the ensuing consequences.

3.3. It is prohibited to send automated requests (scripts, bots) to the Service in volumes exceeding the established limits, unless otherwise agreed with the Administration within the framework of an API agreement.

3.4. The Administration does not pre-screen User Content and acts as an information intermediary.

3.5. In the event of claims or demands from third parties against the Administration related to the User Content, the User undertakes to settle such claims independently and at their own expense, as well as to reimburse the Administration for all incurred losses, expenses, and penalties (including legal costs and fines).

3.6. The Administration has the right to block access to the account without warning upon detecting violations of this Agreement or the requirements of applicable law.

4. API Keys

4.1. After registration, the User receives an API key (Bearer token) for programmatic access to the Service.

4.2. The User bears full responsibility for the safety of their API keys and for all actions performed using them. In the event of a key compromise, the User is obliged to immediately delete it through the personal account and create a new one.

4.3. Access tokens are stored only in a hashed form; the original value of the key is inaccessible to the Administration.

5. Data Storage

5.1. The processing results (images with the background removed) and the original uploads are stored on the Service's servers and are accessible to the User through the "My Files" section and the API.

5.2. The Administration takes reasonable technical measures to preserve data, but does not guarantee its preservation in the event of technical failures, accidents, actions of third parties, or force majeure circumstances.

5.3. The User undertakes to independently create backup copies of files important to them on their own storage media.

5.4. The User has the right to delete their files at any time through the "My Files" section on the website or via the API.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1. The Administration is not liable for any direct or indirect damages, including lost profits, arising from the use or inability to use the Service.

6.2. The Administration is not liable for the content, accuracy, and legality of the images uploaded by the User, as well as for the documents created using them.

6.3. The quality of the processing result depends on the original image and the capabilities of the AI algorithm; the Administration does not guarantee one hundred percent accuracy of background removal in every case.

7. Final Provisions

7.1. The Administration has the right to unilaterally change the terms of this Agreement. The changes take effect from the moment of their publication on the Service.

7.2. All disputes arising from this Agreement are subject to resolution through a pre-trial claim procedure. The period for reviewing a claim is 30 (thirty) calendar days. If an agreement is not reached, the dispute is submitted for consideration to the competent court of the Republic of Serbia in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Serbia.
